Our Island Radio
An online Radio Station, Based on The Isle Of Wight, UK, Playing a mixture of 60's to 00's music and local community based speech for the older people of the Island. OUR ISLAND RADIO is a "non for profit", online Radio Station, operating from our studios based on The Isle Of Wight, which is a small island located on the southern coast of the UK. The Station is owned and run by volunteers from the older community, living and working on The Isle Of Wight and the surrounding areas. The main purpose of the Station is to provide a Radio Station project for the older people of the Island, who quite often want something different to do in their later years. OUR ISLAND RADIO can provide the practical training in DJ and Radio Presentation skills, including the types of, and "hands on" use of studio, Radio Station and entertainment related equipment including, processing and sound recording.
